About the trek
The word ‘Sundardhunga’ translates as beautiful stones-the valley Sunderdhunga lies along the Sunderdhunga gad (stream) which joins the Pindar river just below Khati village.
Jatoli, the last village in the Sunderdhunga valley, lies 7 kilometers from Khati. Beyond Jatoli, there lies a vast expanse of mesmerizing natural beauty such as rippling streams, waterfalls, undisturbed wildlife and open meadows. Above this is the towering southern ring of the Nanda Devi sanctuary with peaks like Mrigthuni, Maiktoli and Panwali Dwar being joined together with sharp ridges and hanging glaciers, dominating the Sundardhunga valley.
The upper reaches of the valley open at the meadow of Kathalia where local shepherds move in with their flocks during summer. Above, around and beyond, there are lush green meadows and forests of Rhododendrons and Juniper.
The area is rich in flora and fauna. Wide variety of Conifers, Cedar, Rhododendrons and Oak can be seen. Rhododendron changes its color from purple to pink as the altitude increases. The area of Pindari also serves as a paradise for the Bird watchers, one can always see The Red Billed Blue Magpie, The Black Throated Jay, Himalayan Nut Cracker and various other pheasants melodiously singing to the tune of nature. One should always be on the outlook for a Musk Deer, Bharal, Snow Fox, Barking Deer and The Great Himalayan Bear.

Cost includes:

- All the trip leaders have appropriate wilderness first aid training and are experienced in dealing with a range of medical issues associated with adventure travel

Cost excludes:

- Any costs arising from early departure from the trip

- Any cost arising out of unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, landslides, road condition and any other circumstances beyond our control

Mandatory Documents
Original and photocopy of government photo identity card- (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Driving license or voters ID, Medical Certificate)
If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.
